The production of Arita-yaki started in the beginning of the Edo era and it was at
the top of Japanese pottery production by the end of the Kanei era. Export to
Europe started after the 17th century from Imari Port and it came to be called
Imari-yaki. The pottery features gorgeous and beautiful sometsuke and akae,
which are carefully painted by craftsmen using techniques passed from generation
to generation. As part of its duty to evolve with the transition of the time, metallic
mold production is a repetition of "problem solving" Professionals who can
overcome new challenges based on the expertise they have inherited are in
demand.
-Everything is to make the impossible possible.
